After breaking the engine in, on the
"N" for weeks, the weather was
conducive for our first road run. We ventured out to an industrial park
and found a large parking lot. What an absolute hoot! I've got cars that
will do over 120 in the 1/4 mile but this was the most fun I have had in
years, we had to be doing 35 to 40 mph.
I was maneuvering in large circles and inside and outside figure eights,
I felt like an ice skater. The "N" ran flawlessly, the gears are tight.
everything worked just fine. After about 3/4 of an hour, it started to
get hot and we then took it back to the garage.
I'll be sending you a quick video that Gordon took of my bride and I on
the inaugural run. I'll have the video to you in a couple of days. We
are cleaning the "N" up for it's trip to San Diego, where it will be on
exhibit on May 20th to the 24th, for thousands of viewers to enjoy.
