Great strides have been made since the delivery of the project to T-Plex. Jerry Van and Norm have sorted, evaluated, cleaned, measured, repaired, blasted, primed and painted alot of parts. Engine and Transmission parts have been taken to Minneapolis where a team of EFR'ers have been getting it ready. Wheels have been sent to the spoke shop. A new radiator is on order from BrassWorks. We received several parts we needed as donations, and several members have sent very generous and much appreciated cash donations. Some excess parts are being sold on EBay.
Don't wait long because the excess parts will be gone soon.
All in all, the project is moving right along. It's too soon to predict when the car will be running. Check back often to read about progress and see new photos.

Adopt-a-part

Now you can adopt a part or parts for the restoration project. We need money to purchase some new parts. In addition, we must pay for some outside work, like upholstery and paint. You can specify that you want your donation to go toward a specific item or area. Some ideas are paint, top covering, an oiler, electrical parts, and brass work. For example, you could donate $25 to adopt a couple of brass hubcaps. Donate $100 to adopt 4 inner tubes. Donate $250 to adopt a wheel. Donate $500 to adopt paint purchase. Donate $1000 to adopt part of the engine rebuild. You get the idea. Jerry Van Ooteghem knows what we need and can make any donation worth your while. We are planning to send the 2007 501(c)(3) tax receipts for donations of money and parts about January 1, 2008. There is no prescribed format for the written statement. The receipt will be in letter form with sufficient description to support your contribution. In the case of cash contributions, the amount of the contribution will be stated. If you donated parts, we will describe the part or parts fully. It is your responsibility to determine the value of the items. It's not too late to make a tax deductable donation.
